Privacy Policy

Who we are
NeuArt is an early-stage product, currently operated directly by its founder rather than through a separate registered company. We'll update this policy with formal company details once that changes. For anything in this policy, or to exercise any of the rights described below, the way to reach us is the Contact page, and we read every message ourselves.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the NeuArt marketing site (this site) and the NeuArt web application once you're registered. It explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
- If you register interest or contact us: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as a studio or practice name, which plan interests you, or a free-text message.
- If you create an account: your name, email address, and authentication details handled by our sign-in provider (Firebase Authentication); we don't handle raw passwords ourselves.
- What you put into the app: this is the largest category, and it's yours: your catalogue (artwork details and photos), contacts, exhibitions and projects, consignments, shipments, sales, invoices and expenses, calendar entries and to-dos, and the settings you choose for any private viewing room you share. We store it to run the service; we don't read through it or use it for anything beyond that.
- Payment information: if you upgrade to a paid plan, billing is handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card details ourselves; we only know that a payment was made, for which plan, and basic invoice information.
- Basic technical data: standard request logs (like IP address and browser type) that our hosting provider generates to keep the service running securely. We don't use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies; the only cookies we set are the small number needed to keep you signed in.
How we use it
- To provide the service itself: store your catalogue, run your calendar, generate your documents.
- To reply to you, whether that's a support question or an early-access request.
- To email you about your account, or, if you've registered interest, when access opens up.
- To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems when they come up.
We don't use your data to train any AI model, and we don't sell personal data, ever.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of specialist providers to run NeuArt, each handling only what they need to do their job:
- Stripe: payment processing for paid plans.
- Resend: sending transactional email (confirmations, notifications).
- Firebase (Google): authentication, i.e. signing you in securely.
- Our database and file-storage providers: hosting your catalogue data and the images you upload, on secure, access-controlled infrastructure.
- Vercel: hosting the application itself.
Some of these providers operate infrastructure outside the UK/EU. Where that's the case, we work with providers that offer appropriate safeguards for international transfers. We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't share it for advertising or marketing purposes.
Private viewing rooms
When you share a private viewing link with a curator, gallery or collector, the recipient doesn't need an account; we store the settings you chose (what's visible, whether prices show, and any expiry) against that link. You're responsible for who you share a link with; you can turn any link off at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, under Delete account. That removes your account, your records, your uploaded files, your sign-in and your support messages straight away, and cancels any paid plan. If you own an account with team members, their access goes with it. A few things are kept because the law requires it: our own billing records, held by our payment provider Stripe, and the records of any paid service you booked with us, for tax purposes. Copies in our hosting providers' backups expire on their normal schedule. If you can't sign in, get in touch via the Contact page and we'll delete it for you.
Your rights
Wherever you're based, we aim to honour the same set of rights UK/EU data protection law describes: to see what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to export it, and to object to how it's used. In practice: you can export your full catalogue and records as a CSV at any time, on any plan, and delete your account in Settings, without asking us first. For anything else (access, correction, or a question about how your data is handled), the Contact page reaches us directly.
We're not yet registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); we're a very early-stage product and this is on our list as we grow. This policy describes how we actually handle your data today, honestly, rather than claiming a formal status we don't yet have.
Cookies
We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We don't use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics scripts.
Children
NeuArt isn't directed at, or intended for, anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we handle personal data, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We'd encourage checking back occasionally, especially before or after any major change to the product.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or about your data specifically, are welcome any time via the Contact page.
